School led teacher training routes with School Direct. You will be based in one school, learning on the job alongside and with outstanding practitioners. Successful completion of a School Direct teacher training programme with the East Kent Learning Alliance (EKLA ), will lead to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The DfE has recently confirmed that £10 million of the Teaching and Leadership Innovation Fund (TLIF) has been set aside to support teachers and leaders in challenging areas to access the reformed National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).
This funding will cover the full participant costs of the course for teachers working in an Opportunity Area or a priority area (defined by the DfE as a category 5 or 6 ‘Achieving Excellence’ area - see below 1).
