Collaborative Teaching Phase - Term 1
Throughout Period	Student Activity
Plan and teach collaboratively, work with groups, whole class teaching on a much reduced timetable Plan in detail and evaluate all lessons taught Be observed teaching regularly (not necessarily whole lessons or whole classes) and receive verbal and written feedback Use Weekly Meeting Records to monitor progress, planning and development of subject knowledge	Plan, teach and assess pupils Meet with mentor weekly to plan learning tasks, analyse training needs, discuss Key Spotlight Questions to the training course Prepare Portfolio ready for collation of materials that demonstrate how you are addressing the Key Spotlight Questions and the ITT Core Content Framework Read recommended texts and key documentation (e.g. policy, scheme of work, audit of resources, websites and software), making notes and reflecting as relevant Observe a range of teachers in different contexts (i.e. teaching various subjects and year groups) and engage in professional dialogue about these Attend school-based, EKLA and CCCU training days

Overview of the Developing Teaching Phase of the training - Terms 2 & 3

Whole class teaching. Continue some collaborative teaching, planning and working with groups Plan and evaluate all lessons taught Be observed teaching regularly (not necessarily whole lessons) and receive verbal and written feedback Use Weekly Meeting Records to monitor progress, planning and development of subject knowledge	Plan, teach and assess pupils Attend school-based, EKLA and CCCU training days and follow up outcomes in school Plan subject knowledge development to meet teaching needs, revisiting audits as necessary, and record progress in the Weekly Meeting Records Plan and undertake activities to ensure understanding of pre and post age phase requirements (see placements) Undertake second school experience, planning every lesson to be taught and being observed weekly Weekly Meeting Records to be maintained throughout Begin work on Pupil Progress Bundles If on PGCE Pathway, research and write PGCE assignments Read recommended texts, make notes as relevant to inform reflective practice Observe other teachers, focusing on specific aspects of professional practice relating to the Key Spotlight Questions Collaborate in completion of SPR reviews and action the targets set in relation to Key Spotlight Questions and the ITT Core Content Framework

Overview of the Independent Teaching Phase of the training – Terms 4, 5 and 6

Whole class teaching building to an 80% timetable Plan all lessons to be taught Plan and evaluate all observed lessons taught Be observed teaching regularly and receive verbal and written feedback Use Weekly Meeting Records to monitor progress, planning and development of subject knowledge	Plan, teach and assess the whole class up to 80% of the time Complete required Pupil Progress Bundles Complete the Portfolio Complete Early Career Transition documentation Undergo Final Assessment with Professional Mentor and University Tutor Retain all evidence throughout the ECT years Celebrate completion of the programme
